Andrey A. Kozitsyn was elected as General Director of AOOT “Uralelectromed” on June, 1995 according to general shareholders meeting. Achievement of the Company stable operation at conditions of market economy formation was the main strategic task of management team controlled by A.A. Kozitsyn.
Charge preparation plant was put into operation in 1996 for processing of non-ferrous metals wastes. This plant includes 2 gold mines: Nevianskiy and Isovskiy mines. The Company was interested in matching of its products to world standards in accordance with new level of production level, development and implementation of new technologies.
Quality Assurance System of the Company was certified by “Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance” (UK) on August, 1996. Effective step of OAO “Uralelectromed” at market strategy implementation was creation of JV “Katur-Invest” copper wire rod production in 1999 with participation of “Huttenwerke Kayzer AG” (Germany). It was the first local experience of copper wire rod continuous production in accordance with “Contirod” continuous casting and milling with application of “Hazelett” two-belt caster.
In 1998 new organization department of AOOT “Uralelectromed” – “Non-Ferrous Metals Production” – based on Verkh-Neyvinskiy Non-Ferrous Metals Plant was created.
New organization department of AOOT “Uralelectromed” based on ZAO “Kirovgrad Metallurgical Company” – “Polymetals Production” – was founded on March, 2001. AOZT “Raduga” was included into the Company as ““Raduga” Production” in April.
According to new charter of the Company AOOT “Uralelectromed” was renamed as OAO “Uralelectromed” on June, 14 2002. Alexander A. Kozitsyn was elected as Director of the Company under decision of OAO “Uralelectromed”’s Board of Directors.
OAO “Safianovskaya med” was included into OAO “Uralelectromed” as organization department on October, 2003.
2003 December Off-gas system was commissioned at the Copper Smelter to reduce emission of air pollutants to maximum permissible concentration (MPC).
2004 August 24th, “Uralelectromed” was certified for Good Delivery membership on silver production that turned the company into a certified supplier of refined silver to London Billion Market Association.
2005 November - As a briquette line for fine-dispersed raw material was installed at “Polymetals Production” (Kirovgrad), the plant shut down the reverberatory furnace that was the main source of emissions in the town. - Hot dip galvanizing plant was commissioned at the “Uralelectromed”.
2006 May, 12th “Uralelectromed” was certified for Good Delivery membership (LME) on gold production that means the company is a certified supplier of refined gold to London Billion Market Association.
2007 May - Construction of a new Copper Tank House was started. June - Quality Management System was certified by a British company “Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Ltd”. - Copper cathodes, gold and silver bars were for the second time awarded with a Diploma “Russian Quality”. December - Quality Management System for copper sulfate production was certified by “TUV SUD Management Service GmbH”
2008 Pre-commissioning of an off-gas system (the third unit) of the Chemical and Metallurgical Plant. Completion of the off-gas system reconstruction going on in three stages since 2004 has minimized emissions up to MPC at the factory in whole. |
