Well directed activity on reduction of environment detrimental effect has been performed at OAO “Uralelectromed” during some decades.
Key directions of environment-related activity of OAO “Uralelectromed” are:
- organization of production in accordance with requirements of Russian environmental legislation;
- optimization of process to reduce natural resources consumption;
- creation of environmentally appropriate technologies and equipment;
- construction of new water and fume treatment facilities and their modernization.
Technical management on provision of production environmental safety is made by Technical Director, Viktor V. Ashikhin.
Ecology related questions are directly regulated by Administration of Environmental Protection formed on August, 2003 by merging of ecology services of OAO “Uralelectromed” (main site in Verkhnyaya Pyshma), “Polymetals Production” branch (Kirovgrad), “Non-Ferrous Metals Alloys Production” branch (Verkh-Neyvinsk settlement) and “Nevianskiy mine” branch (Neviansk).
Head of Administration of Environmental Protection is Valentina K. Guglya, Honored Ecologist of Russian Federation.
Main goals of Administration of Environmental Protection are:
- organization, method management and coordination of activity on environmental protection and natural resources effective usage performed by the Company’s divisions;
- development of current and long-term ecologic programmes;
- arrangement of ecoanalitical control of environment contamination level, hygiene and sanitary labour conditions in accordance with the latest requirements;
- increase of level of the company ecologic reputation.
