“Polymetals Production” branch of JSC “Uralelectromed” which is located in Kirovgrad, Sverdlovsk region, was established in 2001 on the base of CJSC “Kirovgrad metallurgical company”.
Polymetals Production comprises metallurgical department, briquette factory, concentrator and feed preparation plant and is a separate production site integrated into the common process cycle of JSC “Uralelectromed”. It produces blister copper, zinc oxide, briquettes and copper concentrate.
Feed preparation plant receives, prepares and charges feed, fuel and auxiliary materials to the metallurgical department, briquette factory and concentrator.
Copper ores, metallurgical department slags and main site wastes are processed in the concentrator. Ores, slags and wastes are subject to grinding, milling and flotation. Product line includes copper concentrate (min.20% of copper) which is delivered to the briquette factory.
Agglomeration of copper and gold concentrates as well as other fine primary and secondary raw materials is effected in the briquette factory (launched in 2005). By-products, i.e. briquettes, are further processed in the metallurgical department.
Primary and secondary copper-zinc materials, primary and secondary materials containing precious metals as well as briquettes are treated in the metallurgical department. Blister copper and commercial zinc oxide shall be the finished products of metallurgical department.
