This production site is located in Rezh, Sverdlovsk region and was incorporated in OAO “Uralelectromed” in October of 2003.
“Safyanovskaya med” mines sulfide copper ore and copper-zinc ore, silica and limestone flux.
At present “Safyanovskaya med”, a branch of OAO “Uralelectromed”, is a modern open pit extracting complex ore and limestone that is equipped with efficient machinery and utilities.
Southern part of Safyanovskoe deposit is going to be developed using underground method together with advanced self-moving mining and transport machinery. For this purpose “Giproruda” Engineering Company has developed a project named as “Developing of Safyanovskoe deposit’s deep horizons”. According to this project the deposit shall be developed by three permanent workings:
- transportation decline from the surface to -270 m horizon (for ore transportation and supply of equipment, materials and workers);
- air shaft with depth of 492.5 m (for fresh air supply and provision of the mine emergency exit);
- ventilating waste floor drift from +70 m level of Safyanovsky open pit (for delivery of waste material from the mine and packing material supply).
The construction of air shaft was started by Belgorodskoe ShSU, the branch of OAO “Trest “Shakhtspetsstroy” (Moscow), in May of 2010.
Drifting of ventilating waste floor way from Safyanovsky open pit up to connection with transportation decline and then arrangement of transportation decline up to -120 m horizon was begun by Gaiskiy ShSU, OAO “Gaisliy GOK” (Gai), in October of 2010.
Today the air shaft setting is completed and tunneling system for shaft development is mounted and put into operation (near-shaft buildings and constructions are built and horizontal displacement is made up to the depth of -30m).
Tunneling system for ventilating waste floor drift is put into operation (drift entry is built and 188 l.m. of mine is developed).
