- Degreasing
Grease spots, oils and other synthetic contaminations which slow down and impair pickling process and decrease zinc adhesion are removed from the surface of metal products and structures at this stage.
- Pickling
Pickling is an important stage of metalware surface preparation for galvanizing during which rust and dross are removed from parts surface and steel surface is chemically activated (oxide film removal) without damage to steel.
- Washing
Solid metallic particles are washed out of galvanized products surface and transfer of sulfuric acid solution to fluxing bath is prevented at washing stage.
- Fluxing
This is final stage of surface preparation which is required for protective layer coating on metalware surface. During fluxing oxides are removed and they do not form further on metal surface prior to galvanizing.
- Drying
Moisture is removed from structure surface during drying. The products are heated up to the temperature 100-200 С.
This stage serves as temperature preparation for galvanizing process.
- Galvanizing
Forming of zinc coating due to reaction between iron and zinc which jointly form alloy.
- Cooling
After products are discharged from galvanizing bath they are cooled in bath with water.
Zinc coating quality control
It is carried out in accordance with GOST 9.307-89 “Hot zinc coatings”, using visual methods and devices.
OAO “Uralelectromed” quality control is certified according to ISO standards. That is why we are proud to confirm the highest level of work execution and production. |
