JSC “Uralkabel” managed to enter the world market of automotive components

JSC “Uralkabel” underwent (included in “Cable Alliance Holding” Corp., uniting cable assets of UMMC) Certification audit in compliance with ISO TS 16949 in automotive quality systems.   This standard specifies requirements for quality management systems of companies designing and manufacturing products for automotive industry.

That is to say, the Plant is entitled to sell out automotive wires to harnesses’ manufacturers, delivering products to foreign car brands. In the first place it refers to manufacturing plants located in Russia. Moreover, currently, many Russian auto groups require components’ manufacturers to have this document:

«Certification constitutes a part of development strategy of “Uralkabel”. The Certificate makes it possible to strengthen its positions and to expand sales market of automotive wires being as good as European ones”, stated Aleksey Zhuzhin, Director of JSC “Uralkabel”. 

Currently, JSC “Uralkabel” negotiates for cooperation with Yazaki Corporation, worldwide leader in manufacturing of electrical parts and components for automotive industry.  Among the Company’s clients are General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan. Yazaki plants are located in 35 countries all over the world and its headquarters is in Japan. The Company has its representative office in Russia, Tolyatti.

In September, 2015, the Company’s representatives conducted an evaluation audit in “Uralkabel” and recommended the cable manufacturer to obtain ISO TS Certificate confirming quality of not only products manufactured but also all processes.

It is worth mentioning that JSC “Uralkabel” manufactures automotive wires of PVAM grade with flexible copper conductor and insulation made of lead-free PVC compound, which is produced with the use of special formulation. As a rule, they are used in inflammable car parts and capable of withstanding the temperature of up to +105 degrees. The Plant also produces automotive wires with insulation made of basic PVC.

Articles manufactured by the Plant are used in assembling of cars of JSC «AutoVAZ», PJSC «NeFaz», PJSC «KamAZ» and others.
