Experts of London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) ranked as the best good delivery silver bar produced by JSC «Uralelektromed» (the key company of UMMC-Holding Corp.). It was selected out of 70 LBMA listed silver refiners included in the current Good Delivery List.
Annually the company produces about 250 t of four nines silver to be in great demand by the consumers. Jewelry and cutlery made of such silver is free of any spots.
JSC «Uralelektromed» produces silver from electrolytic copper slime. It means sediment forming in the copper electrolytic refining process. In addition to silver it is a source of gold, PGMs, minor metals and other elements.
The process of turning slime into silver bullion passes ten phases and lasts for about two weeks. The most impressive is the transition process of silver liquid-solid phase. Electrolyte bearing 200g of silver is treated by 400A current to let positively charged silver ions precipitate on a cathode layer by layer like hoarfrost.
