«Uralkabel» commissioned a modern production line for manufacture of power transformer winding

«Uralkabel» incorporated in «Cable Alliance Holding Corp.», (cable production assets of UMMC-Holding Corp), put into operation a new universal conductor paper taping machine for manufacture of transformer paper insulated winding. Italian equipment of USD 200, 000 was delivered in April and commissioned in May this year. The project estimated payback period is 1 year. The first samples of a new product have been sent to the consumers.

Paper insulated conductors are mainly used as winding for power transformers and reactors. The expected capacity of the conductor paper taping machine is 100 t per month. The new product is to be consumed by engineering companies and branches of foreign power engineering concerns located in Russia.
